At PRO-TECH Design, we are very proud of our team. Our employees are the heart and soul of our company, and they are the ones who ensure that our customers’ needs are met and exceeded. Every now and then, we like to honor their contributions by shining a spotlight on them.
Roberto Fonseca is a great example of one of these team members. He typically operates behind-the-scenes and most customers don’t often meet him, but he’s a critical player who contributes to the successful execution and delivery of their projects. Roberto is responsible for PRO-TECH’s Engineering and Technology team.
Roberto has a very interesting and diverse background. A native of Santos, Brazil, he went to school to become a Civil Engineer, but then immediately went to work as a technologist for one of the top business schools in Brazil. From there, he made his way to the United States, where he pursued a Master’s in Computer Science from UC Irvine. Upon graduation, he joined UCI’s Engineering Department as a Database and Systems Administrator for the Advanced Power & Energy Program.
After a brief return to Brazil, he returned to the U.S. and joined PRO-TECH in 2016. He quickly became a critical component of our team. Since joining, he has helped architect a label control system, a customer tracking portal and has championed process automation and data integration. All things that help a contract medical device packaging company like PRO-TECH effectively serve our customers and provide unique transparency that lets them see how their projects are progressing.
