Fraud Blocker

This month, we would like to introduce you to a newer member of the PRO-TECH Team. We like to mix it up to share the breadth of the team’s talent.

Benjamin (“Ben”) Peregrino is part of our engineering team and joined us about 1 ½ years ago. He is a Manufacturing Engineering who has key roles in both Sewn Medical and Biomedical products. Day to day he can be found working on anything from building cutting dies, to designing packaging solutions, to developing new manufacturing processes.

The range of projects and products that Ben gets involved with is a testament both to his willingness to roll up his sleeves and his focus on progressive learning. Adaptability and learning are two qualities that we value highly at PRO-TECH, and we have found that our employees like the challenge of learning new things and solving complex problems.

Ben is a good example of one of those people. He is always looking to learn and stay engaged. He has a wide range of interests. Here are just a few:
• Cooking – he cooks a mean lasagna, and do not get him started about his mashed potatoes!
• Education – he recently received his ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt certification, and he is working on his Solid Works Associate certification.
• Music – when he can, Ben loves to attend live music shows and raves featuring electronic dance music. What a renaissance man!

It is these diverse interests and his continual pursuit of knowledge that propel him to succeed.

While attending Cal Poly Pomona to achieve a degree in Industrial Engineering, Ben tutored students in Boys & Girls Club, AVID & Upward Bound programs in STEM subject matters. He wanted to give back and it gave him an interest in eventually teaching at some point. In fact, one of his life goals is to be a professor at some point and be able to share his knowledge and experience with others.

Clearly, he is off to a great start and between all his activities, we are happy to have his energy and enthusiasm be part of the PRO-TECH team. Thanks Ben and we look forward to the day when we can bring back our traditional potluck celebrations, try your culinary creations, and sample a little EDM!
